Donate today to United Way for a chance to win tickets to the Ravens vs. Falcons game on Dec. 24

The annual drive, part of a long-standing partnership with the United Way of Central Maryland, raises donations for nonprofit organizations working to improve the well-being of JHU's neighbors with a focus on supporting three important areas: financial stability, education, and health.

All faculty and staff are encouraged to make an online donation and pledge using the Community Engagement website.

During the 2022 campaign, Johns Hopkins raised $539,439 through the United Way partnership.

"Every contribution had an immediate and meaningful local impact during this difficult time," wrote President Ronald J. Daniels and the campaign co-chairs, Alicia Wilson, vice president for economic development, and Alex Triantis, dean of the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, in a letter to JHU faculty and staff announcing the 2022 campaign.

Once again, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to set up automated payroll contributions, for any amount they wish, during benefits open enrollment.

Each year, the United Way campaign allows supporters to designate their pledges in a way that is most meaningful to them. Employees willing to donate $100 or more can designate their United Way contribution to the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund, which supports local nonprofits serving the communities adjacent to Hopkins campuses.

JHU's goal this year is to raise $550 ,000, we are halfway there, but we need your support! The Johns Hopkins Office of Economic Development and Community Partnerships, along with other community impact leaders across the university, is planning various special events to ensure that it meets its goal.
