Understanding and Recognizing Depression for Managers

October is National Depression Education and Awareness Month. While the pandemic has taken, and continues to take, its toll on our mental health, Johns Hopkins continues to promote and encourage efforts to prioritize and protect your mental well-being.

Join the Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program (JHEAP) at noon on Thursday, Oct. 27, for this webinar to raise awareness about depression and well-being. Managers are not in a position to diagnose depression. This training for managers will improve your ability to recognize symptoms of depression and learn how to refer employees to resources both internally and in the community for managing depression. Managers will also learn how to approach employees who might be struggling and encourage employees to seek professional assistance for symptoms.
