The Johns Hopkins CIR is looking for healthy volunteers to participate in an inpatient shigella challenge study. If you are between the ages of 18 and 50, you may be eligible to participate. The study is three months or nine months long and requires the following:
- two screening visits
- one or two 10-day inpatient stay(s)
- four to five follow-up visits after each inpatient stay
Eligible people who are participating will be compensated up to $4,950 for one inpatient stay and up to $9,100 for two inpatient stays.
