At the JHU Language and Cognition Lab, we study how children learn language and reason about concepts like space, perception, and knowledge. Our studies are designed as stories and games that help us understand children's cognitive development.
We are currently recruiting typically developing children age 4 to 7 for an in-person block-building study. During the study your child will build structures with Duplo blocks while wearing eye-tracking glasses. A visit to our lab on the Homewood campus takes about an hour, and we offer free parking and snacks. Your child will receive a prize as a thank you for participating. We can arrange your visit to accommodate your family's schedule.
