Doctors recommend that older people receive the flu vaccine and shingles vaccine. In this study, researchers at the Center for Immunization Research want to find out whether it is safe to give older people both vaccines at the same time. The researchers are seeking healthy volunteers age 65 or older to participate in this outpatient study. The study is 3.5 months long and requires the following:
- 1 phone screening
- 2 vaccination day visits
- 2 in-person follow-up visits
- 5 phone follow-up visits
Eligible people will be compensated up to $325 for participation. For more information, call 410-955-SAVE (7283) or visit the study webpage on the CIR website.
