The Johns Hopkins Center for Immunization Research is looking for healthy volunteers to participate in an inpatient shigella challenge study. If you are between the ages of 18 and 50, you may be eligible to participate. The study is three months (one inpatient stay) or nine months (two inpatient stays) long and requires the following:
- 2 screening visits
- 1 or 2 inpatient stays of 10 days each
- 4 to 5 follow-up visits after each inpatient stay
Eligible people will be compensated up to $4,950 for one inpatient stay and up to $9,100 for two inpatient stays. For more information, call 410-955-SAVE (7283) or visit the study webpage on the CIR website.
