Baltimore City families need your help to afford mandatory school uniforms

Johns Hopkins remains committed to assisting families whose students attend schools that require uniforms. Give on an individual level or have your department sponsor a group of children as we gear up for the fall 2022 semester.

It has been shown that wearing new uniforms helps students build confidence and allows them to better focus on classwork. And Baltimore City Public Schools reports that access to uniforms is linked to improved attendance rates.

The Johns Hopkins Adopt-a-Student Uniform Drive was established in 2011 to assist families in purchasing the uniforms required for elementary, middle, and high school students. In partnership with BCPS, Johns Hopkins works with a vendor to establish a cost of $50 for two uniforms.
