Eastbound University Parkway, from San Martin Drive to Canterbury Road, will be closed to through traffic beginning at 5 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, until JHU Commencement ceremonies are complete on either May 22 or 23.
A short detour will be in effect, routing eastbound traffic to turn left onto 39th Street and either turn right onto Canterbury Road or continue straight on 39th Street at the traffic circle to return to University Parkway and/or Charles Street.
During the ceremonies, which span Thursday through Sunday (with Monday as the inclement weather date), traffic control and parking officers will be present to permit accessible parking and shuttle service through the closed portion of University Parkway.
