The Office of Student Outreach and Support has partnered with the Maryland Food Bank to open the Hopkins Food Pantry. Located in the LaB on the ground floor of Homewood Apartments, the Food Pantry helps to address food insecurity among JHU affiliates.
Those interested in accessing the pantry simply need to fill out an application here. Within two to three business days, J-Card access will be granted to the pantry, and the applicant will receive an email notification. Shopper anonymity is respected, and there are no background checks on financial or conduct history.
The Food Pantry is open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays from 3 to 8 p.m., and the shelves will be stocked with new items on the first Friday of every month. All shoppers may shop at their leisure during the pantry's open hours. For more information, visit the Food Pantry webpage on the Student Affairs website, and follow @jhu.sos on Instagram, where updates about new items will be posted regularly. Please contact studentoutreach@jhu.edu with any questions.
