Participants needed for an inpatient shigella study

The Johns Hopkins Center for Immunization Research is looking for healthy volunteers to participate in an inpatient shigella challenge study. If you are between the ages of 18 and 50, you may be eligible to participate. The study is three months or nine months long and requires the following:

  • two screening visits
  • one or two 10-day inpatient stays
  • four to five follow-up visits after each inpatient stay

Eligible people will be compensated up to $3,000 for one inpatient stay and up to $5,750 for two inpatient stays for participation. For more information, call 410-955-SAVE (7283) or visit the study's webpage on the CIR website.
