It's Engineers Week! In partnership with the Whiting School, there will be virtual events all week from Feb 21-25 focused on networking, opportunity sharing, and skillset building for students pursuing, and even considering, the diverse industries within engineering. DesigningDC Kickoff Event: Getting Started in D.C. with Recent, D.C.- Based Alums
February 24, from 1-2pm EST. Come join the Life Design Lab for a discussion of getting started in D.C.-based jobs and internships with a panel of young alums. These recent graduates will share their stories and tips for making it in D.C. in a range of careers from policymaking to research. All majors welcome. Zoom panel with Q&A. Register here
Fast Forward U Incubator Program Deadline to apply is March 1st The FastForward U incubator pilot is a chance for you to do a deep dive into your venture for six weeks this summer. Thanks to generous alumni support, participants will receive free housing and a $1,250 grant for additional support. In exchange, venture teams commit to seriously working on their innovation during that time, including weekly use of the FastForward U co-working space, meeting once a week during a social hour with the cohort, and a mentorship meeting once a week. *Applicants must be current students or have a graduation date in May 2022. KSAS-ONLY Grant Fund your East, Southeast, or South Asia internship with the Robins Grant. The experience can be in private industry, or it can be in a government or nonprofit setting as long as the position is focused on business/economic development, finance, accounting, marketing, or management. Opportunities: Legal & Finance Summer Internships in NYC with JHU alumnus Positions close April 3 Chaim Levin, the United States General Counsel of the Tradition Group. Tradition is a mid-size financial institution based in New York. They provide brokerage services, and offer services for financial products including money markets, bonds, interest rates, currency, and credit derivatives, equities, equity derivatives, and index futures. These opportunities are unique to Hopkins undergraduates.
