An introduction to mindfulness and meditation, open to all Homewood graduate and undergraduate students. Taught as a weekly 75-minute class over four weeks by trained JHU Koru instructors—Kathy Schnurr (chaplain), Molly Hutchison (CHEW), and Susan Han (Counseling Center). Participants must be able to attend all four meeting dates on March 31 and April 7, 14, and 21. Koru Mindfulness is an evidence-based program specifically designed for teaching mindfulness and meditation as a way to manage stress and reduce anxiety. You will learn specific skills that help calm and focus your mind, including breathing exercises, guided imagery, body scan, and more.
