The Life Design Lab is here to help you secure your summer experience! We have quite a few events coming up this week that will help you grow your network, find your summer internship/job, and help you develop any skillsets to help you along the way! Here are a few of the things happening this week: - InBaltimore Internship Fair: Feb 16th, 11am-2pm EST. Registerhere The InBaltimore Internship program is a PAID 10-week subsidized internship initiative which allows employers an opportunity to support Baltimore City with Hopkins talent, provide students with hands-on experience, as well as build a culture that promotes community involvement for undergraduates not graduating in spring '22. Please join us any time between 11a and 2p ET on Wednesday, February 16 on Brazen to meet the employers and learn more about their internships.

  • Deloitte Salesforce Career Journey: Thur, Feb 17th 9-5pm EST. Register Here Coming this February, Deloitte Digital will be hosting our Salesforce virtual learning program, Salesforce Career Journey. In this free, ten-week immersive learning journey, you will explore what Salesforce consulting is, be able to informally network with our practitioners in our Ask Us Anything sessions, and develop resume-worthy credentials on Salesforce's learning platform, Trailhead.

  • Legal & Finance Summer Internships in NYC with JHU alumnus - Positions close April 3 Chaim Levin, the United States General Counsel of the Tradition Group. Tradition is a mid-size financial institution based in New York. They provide brokerage services, and offer services for financial products including money markets, bonds, interest rates, currency, and credit derivatives, equities, equity derivatives, and index futures. These opportunities are unique to Hopkins undergraduates. For those interested in the intersection of law and finance this could be a great opportunity, as interns would gain exposure to the legalities of multi-national finance and trade.   • English Alumni Panel - All majors welcome! - Feb 15th, 7-8pm Register Here English students chart a wide variety of courses for themselves after graduation. During this casual career conversation with alumni of the department, you'll get a taste for some of the many ways to translate an English degree into a fulfilling career.   • Med School Gap Year Info Session with Kuchnir Dermatology - Feb 17th, 6:30-7:30pm EST Register here and learn more info Interested in taking a gap year? The Kuchnir Dermatology Gap Year Program is an excellent clinical experience perfect for those interested in pursuing an interactive, patient-oriented gap year for 14- or 26-months before medical school matriculation! Students in the program learn about Dermatology by scribing for physicians, coordinating patient care, attending educational events and receiving mentorship from practicing providers. We are looking for highly energetic students passionate about patient care with an aspiration to become a well-rounded physician. The program offers positions in Massachusetts along with a few opportunities out-of-state. Representatives from the recruitment team at KDDS will be hosting a virtual information session via Zoom on February 17 at 6:30 pm EST, for students interested in this program. This session is open to all pre-medical students, regardless of their medical school application year; however, much of the information provided will be specific to those graduating in May of 2022.

  • Finance Mentor Network (FMN) Please submit applications by February 14th at 11:55pm The FMN aims to pair each accepted undergraduate with a JHU alumnus working in the vertical of finance that the undergraduate is interested in pursuing (e.g., investment banking, sales & trading, equity research, private equity, etc.). This opportunity is open to current sophomores who are committed to pursuing careers in finance and have a minimum GPA of 3.2.
