Patients with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder are needed for a brain imaging research study

To be eligible for this study, a person must have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, must be a nonsmoker 18-50 years old, and must not have had beneficial response to at least one antidepressant that raises brain serotonin concentration and at least one antidepressant that raises brain norepinephrine concentration OR have not had beneficial response to at least one serotonin and norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitor medication.

Qualified participants will have bloodwork, memory testing, one PET scan, and one MRI scan of the brain. Participants may also complete an optional lumbar puncture. Those completing the study will receive a payment of up to $400.
