Invitation for students to provide insight on gender-affirming care services offered by JHU Student Health & Well-Being

Student Health & Well-Being invites members of the JHU transgender and gender diverse communities to provide their insight on gender-affirming care services offered now or in the future by SHWB. Our goal is to provide gender-affirming care that includes hormone therapy, counseling, referrals, and other supportive services for both the Homewood and East Baltimore campuses. In addition, we would like to get feedback on what students and learners would find helpful to be included on the Well-Being website regarding these services. Participants will also learn more about ways to become an ongoing student member of the JHU Gender Affirming Care Team.

There are a variety of ways you can be involved:

  • We would like to start this process with a kick-off Zoom group meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 4 to 5 p.m. for those who are able to attend.
  • We will then post an outline of the discussion in a live SharePoint document and invite contributions to the content asynchronously or via 1:1 meetings.
  • We will reconvene a second Zoom group meeting to make final edits with the goal of posting a comprehensive webpage regarding gender-affirming resources on the Well-Being website.

In total, we imagine this will be a one- to four-hour time commitment from participants depending on your availability and your chosen level of participation.
