In a new commitment to providing excellent guitar instruction for students ages 4 through 8, the Peabody Preparatory has launched a Suzuki guitar program. Suzuki music education is a time-tested, highly successful method of teaching young children in a developmentally appropriate and fun way. Join us this spring for the following offerings:
Guitar for Young Children: Mini Pre-Twinkle is a beginner guitar class specifically designed for young children ages 4 and 5 using the methods of Suzuki music education. Children learn guitar and musicianship basics such as seating, positioning, rhythms, and left- and right-hand technique, and learn to play a few introductory songs in a fun and nurturing environment.
Guitar for Young Children: Pre-Twinkle is a one-semester beginner guitar class for young children ages 6 to 8 using the methods of Suzuki music education. Children learn guitar and musicianship basics such as seating, positioning, rhythms, and left- and right-hand technique, and learn to play a few introductory songs in a fun and nurturing environment.
