Advance registration is now open for the Johns Hopkins Ice Rink, which will be open from Jan. 18 to Feb. 27. The ice rink, located on the north side of the Homewood campus on the tennis courts adjacent to North Charles Street, will be open to JHU faculty, staff, and students, with special weekend access for the local Baltimore community.
To reserve a 90-minute session, sign up now via the registration website. You can complete registration up to 28 days in advance.
The Johns Hopkins Ice Rink experience (and rental skates) will be free of charge to all participants. Skates are limited to first 100 skaters on a first-come, first-served basis. All attendees, regardless of age, will be required to complete an electronic waiver prior to arrival at the rink. This includes those who will attend as observers—a waiver is required to enter the rink area.
Those under 18 years of age will be required to have an adult accompany them in the rink. Family members can sign up both for themselves and members of their attending party.
Skates will be provided but guests are welcome to bring their own. At the end of the each 90-minute skate session, all participates will be asked to leave the rink and skate area as the ice is prepared for the next session. The ice rink cannot be reserved for events.
The rink will periodically host special theme nights, including Harry Potter, Star Wars, disco, K-pop, and many more.
