Renovation begins Friday on Latrobe Hall

Johns Hopkins Facilities and Real Estate will begin preparations at Latrobe Hall on the Homewood campus on Dec. 3, for a renovation of the Civil and Structural Engineering and the Mechanical Engineering departments. The general contractor will begin by setting up a temporary dumpster enclosure on the brick courtyard to the north of Latrobe Hall and across from Levering Hall. The enclosure will be placed next to the grass area between Latrobe and Ames halls. The enclosure will not block pedestrian traffic or access to Latrobe and will leave plenty of room for pedestrians to continue past Latrobe and Levering.

The fencing will have privacy mesh installed to maintain a clean appearance, as it will be needed to stay in place throughout construction. Construction will be starting on Monday, Dec. 6, and will reach substantial completion by the end of April 2022. All deliveries to and from Latrobe Hall will take place prior to 7 a.m., and flaggers will be used to escort them.

A logistics map and more details are on the Johns Hopkins Facilities and Real Estate website.
