Starting Saturday, Oct. 2, the transition of the Homewood-Peabody-JHMI service to our new operator will be complete, and passengers will begin seeing newly-branded, blue "University Shuttle" buses serving the route. A few non-JHU-branded buses may supplement service until all of the fleet is in place. All buses should be tracking normally within TransLoc, regardless.
The weekday timetable will return to its normal frequency, with departures every six minutes during morning and afternoon peak service, every 15 minutes during midday service, and every 30 minutes in the evenings. Weekend service will be increased with departures every 25 minutes, previously departing every 50 minutes. The updated schedule is posted at https://ts.jhu.edu/Shuttles/ and includes the new Dispatch phone number (410-391-8700) for issues requiring immediate attention. This is the beginning of a longer-term transition to an electric bus fleet, anticipated to be completed in 2026.
