Pre-registration for the DLC Diversity and Inclusion Conference: "Awakening to Action" is open. The conference, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Oct. 21 and 22, will be held virtually.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic magnified existing societal inequities across marginalized groups; an increased awareness of targeted violence galvanized communities around social justice; and legislation aimed at restricting well-earned civil rights demonstrated that the struggle for equal rights continues. The theme of the 2021 DLC Conference is "Awakening to Action," representing a call to action for the presenters and attendees to transform the momentum of 2020 into sustained action.
Conference workshops will focus on implementing best practices, exploring evidence-based strategies, and creating opportunities for coalition building.
