Call for proposals: 2021 Diversity and Inclusion Conference

The Johns Hopkins Diversity Leadership Council invites you to submit a proposal to present at the 18th annual Diversity and Inclusion Conference. The form for submission can be found here. Submissions are being accepted through July 23.

The title of the 2021 conference is Awakening to Action. In 2020 we saw the COVID-19 pandemic magnify existing societal inequities. Increased awareness of targeted racial violence galvanized communities around racial justice, and legislation aimed at restricting the rights of gender and sexual minorities demonstrated that the struggle for equal rights continues. Presenters and attendees are called upon to transform this momentum into sustained action. Conference workshops will focus on implementing best practices, exploring evidence-based strategies, and creating opportunities for coalition building.

Join over 500 leaders, faculty, students, community neighbors, alumni, and staff in examining critical questions related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Alll submissions must be suitable for a virtual environment. Don't miss your opportunity to take part in this important conversation at Johns Hopkins.
