Homewood-Peabody-JHMI detour, Saturday, May 22

On Saturday, May 22, a portion of Charles Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. The Homewood-Peabody-JHMI bus route will be detoured, and several stops relocated, from the beginning of the day until after 9 p.m.

After making the stop at Johns Hopkins East Baltimore campus, buses will enter the Mt. Vernon area via Monument Street, stopping on the corner of Monument and Calvert by the SHA Headquarters entrance, instead of the usual location for Stop #2 (Peabody Northbound). Stop #3 (Penn Station) will be made at Calvert and Lanvale streets, but passengers wishing to utilize Penn Station are encouraged to use the Southbound stop (#12) to access the station on Saturday. Stop #4 will be made on westbound North Avenue in front of the Centre Theatre / JHU-MICA Film Center. Buses will then resume the regular route from Charles Street and North Avenue.

Starting with the 9:35 p.m. departure from JHMI, buses will resume the normal route.

Additional information, including a diagram of the relocated stops, is available on the Transportation Services website. Contact 443-573-8180 or shuttles@jhu.edu with questions about this detour.
