Charisma study is seeking research participants

Researchers are recruiting individuals for a clinical study; compensation is $400.

The purpose of Charisma is to learn more about the risks for developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes based on ancestry. The study involves two half-day visits to Johns Hopkins Children's Center for various minimal-risk procedures.

The study is actively enrolling individuals who are:

  • 12-21 years old
  • of South Asian, African American, or Caucasian ancestry
  • considered to have excess weight
