Running annually until July 1, the International Laboratory Freezer Challenge has hosted thousands of labs from 195 countries and saved 9.9 million kWh of energy since 2017. Participating labs gain points for completing actions in categories that include management practices and temperature tuning.
For 2021, JHU is offering an internal, monetary award for the top three participating labs. To sign up, register on the event website and be sure to list "Johns Hopkins University" as the institution at signup (not "JHU" or "Johns Hopkins").
