Anxiety disorders are common and treatable. This webinar, from noon to 1 p.m. on May 6, will provide a brief overview of treatment options for anxiety disorders. We will then focus on the role of mindfulness, the ability to be aware and nonjudgmental of the present moment, in the treatment of anxiety disorders. We will engage in a brief guided mindfulness practice followed by a question-and-answer period.
Presenter Neda Gould is a clinical psychologist and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She also serves as director of the Mindfulness Program at Johns Hopkins and associate director of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Anxiety Disorders Clinic.
