After a well-received and highly successful auction last November, the Johns Hopkins University Department of Athletics will host another online auction from April 23 to April 30. The auction will be run entirely through HopkinsSports.com, the official website of Hopkins Athletics. All proceeds will benefit the Blue Jays Unlimited Student-Athlete Fund.
A wide variety of items will be available for Blue Jay fans to bid on during the weeklong auction. Items available have been donated by a number of Johns Hopkins athletic teams, several of the department's corporate partners and other outside organizations. In all, more than 40 items will be available. Among the items available in the auction (list is not all-inclusive) are:
Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse helmets
Blue Jay football helmets
Men's and women's lacrosse player gear packages
JHU men's and women's soccer, field hockey and men's basketball gear packages
Brooks Robinson autographed baseball
Cal Ripken autographed baseball
Derek Jeter autographed jersey
Derek Jeter autographed rookie baseball card
Arnold Palmer autographed golf ball and flag
Golf outings at a variety of Baltimore-area golf courses
Autographed photo of Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, and Joe DiMaggio
Items in the auction will be available for bid throughout the April 23–April 30 window.
In addition to an extensive list of items that will be auctioned off via a bidding process, a number of for-purchase items will be available until April 20 and then again starting May 1. Some of the products Blue Jay fans will have the opportunity to purchase are:
Game-worn Johns Hopkins football jerseys (Nike jerseys in black and white)
JHU men's soccer and volleyball jerseys
Blue Jay–branded Love Your Melon knit hats
Items listed for purchase will remain available until sold. Shipping of items won in the auction will begin Monday, May 3.
