The winners of this year's awards are:
Mashiyat Ahmed, sophomore, KSAS, Undergrad Student Employee of the Year 2021
Grace Bachman, School of Public Health, Graduate Student Employee of the Year 2021
Sanchita Balachandran, faculty, Near Eastern Studies, Supervisor of the Year 2021
The supervisor winner receives a commemorative gift, a certificate of recognition, and lunch/dinner for two at a local restaurant. In addition, the campus winner is entered in the state and regional competition. The winner of the regional competition goes on to compete for the national title.
The winning student receives a cash award, commemorative gift, and certificate of recognition, and is entered in the state competition. State winners are entered into the regional competition and so on until the national title is awarded. Increasing cash prizes and other gifts are awarded along the way. The students who place 1st and 2nd are also honored and awarded numerous prizes.
