Individuals without hair on their head needed for skin research study

Individuals without hair on their head (such as male pattern baldness) and with normal, healthy skin are needed to donate skin samples as part of research in the Department of Dermatology. Information from this study may help with problems like skin breakdown in patients with amputations and prostheses.

Study volunteers must meet the following criteria:

  • Be age 18–65
  • Be in good health
  • Have no hair or minimal hair on head
  • Be willing to come in for multiple visits over 10 months and undergo a lab test (one time)

Compensation for time and travel is available, up to $600.

The study is funded by the Armed Forces Institute for Regenerative Medicine and the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases.
