The Sustainability Leadership Council (SLC) Symposium is an exciting opportunity for members of the Johns Hopkins community to come together and discuss sustainability issues as they relate to the university, our broader community, and the planet. This year, the theme is environmental justice, as it sits at the intersection of environment and society and is integral to a holistic understanding of sustainability. The morning will consist of a formal address from members of the SLC, a panel discussion, highlights of faculty and student research and activities, and a featured speaker, Dr. Carolyn Finney, author of Black Faces, White Spaces.
