Humanities PhD Internship Program

The Humanities PhD Internship Program is a new summer funding opportunity for PhD students in the humanities and social sciences to pursue nonacademic internships that would otherwise not be paid positions. The program provides selected students with funding external to their department to conduct work in the nonacademic realm.

All PhD students in the humanities who are interested in trying out a career path external to academia should reach out to Lauren Mushro at lmushro1@jh.edu and Rhiannon Mayhugh at rmayhug1@jhmi.edu for more information and resources. The deadline for summer 2021 applications is Wednesday, March 3.

In order to be considered for the grant, internships must occur over the summer months and must be unpaid.
