On Nov. 7, Dr. Chervinsky will share stories from her recent book, The Cabinet: George Washington and the Creation of an American Institution. The lecture will explore what the Constitution intended for the president's advisers, how Washington created the cabinet, and why he drew on his military leadership experience as a model. Dr. Chervinsky will also reveal how Washington established a lasting cabinet legacy that continues to influence presidents in the 21st century.
