Community Impact Internships Program application is now open

The Community Impact Internships Program (CIIP) applications are available and due Dec. 28, 2020.

Join other Hopkins students this summer working with Baltimore City–based community partners to make a difference. CIIP is a competitive, paid summer internship program that pairs JHU undergraduate students with nonprofits, community organizations and government agencies, and offers an intensive, cohort-based learning environment. CIIP selects 50 JHU students to work to work on community-identified projects throughout Baltimore City. Internships are selected for each student based on their skills and interests, providing a unique and individualized experience. In addition to interning with a community partner, participants attend an extensive orientation and weekly reflection sessions.

Interns will work 35 hours a week for eight weeks and earn a $4,000 salary. The dates for this year's program are June 7 to Aug. 6, 2021. CIIP is available to current JHU first-years through juniors.

Information about the 2021 CIIP and a link to apply are available at the Become an Intern page of the Center for Social Concern/Homewood Student Affairs website.

The deadline for application submissions is Dec. 28.

The goal of this program is twofold: to give JHU undergraduates an opportunity to be directly involved in community-based efforts in Baltimore City, and to support the important work being done by nonprofits and government agencies. CIIP is housed within the Center for Social Concern under Homewood Student Affairs at the Johns Hopkins University.
