Womxn Mentoring Whiting: New mentorship program

Womxn Mentoring Whiting is a mentorship program built to support women of all levels in the Whiting School of Engineering. The program is structured to provide opportunities for students to engage with peers, graduate students, and alumni with similar interests through one-on-one mentorship and to be part of a tight-knit community. Through quality mentorship and community, we hope to make the students' experience in Whiting more personalized and meaningful.

With advisers in the Office of Women and Gender Resources as well as the School of Education, we are launching a pilot of our program this fall and are recruiting both mentors and mentees. In the pilot program, first-year and second-year undergraduate students will be paired with junior/senior undergraduate students; junior/senior undergraduate students will be paired with an alum or graduate student. (Note: Due to the limited capacity of our program, we are only accepting women who are affiliated with Whiting and are self-identifying as female).

The application can be found below and is due at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 4.
