A consultative process is underway to develop guidelines for a phased resumption of research, instruction, and other activities at Johns Hopkins University during the coming months in a manner that puts the health and safety of the community at the forefront. Details about this effort are on the Hub COVID-19 information website, and the university is beginning a series of virtual discussions to share information and hear feedback.
Stephen Gange, executive vice provost for academic affairs, and Jon Links, vice provost and chief risk and compliance officer, both of whom are professors of public health, will talk about the planning process, the phased approach that is envisioned for the university, and the activities of numerous work groups. They will also answer questions submitted by participants.
This town hall will focus on areas that are most relevant to faculty and staff. Additional town halls are being scheduled to examine issues of importance to students and specific efforts by the various workgroups.
You can join the event online at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15. You will need a JHED ID to participate. If you have a question you would like to submit ahead of the town hall, you can email covidtownhall@jhu.edu. If you are unable to attend this event, please share your comments and suggestions about the resumption of on-campus activities using the online form.
