LGBTQ Life invites everyone to join us for our annual Lavender Celebration, held this year in a virtual format.
In normal years, we gather to acknowledge graduating students who are a part of our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, and allied community at JHU. Graduating students ask someone (a friend or mentor) to introduce them and say a few words about them. We also look back on the accomplishments of the LGBTQAA community over the past year.
In order to follow this tradition, we will be gathering virtually on May 3 at 1 p.m. For our virtual event, graduating students are asked to name an introducer, and that introducer will send a 1-2 minute video or audio introduction. LGBTQ Life will create a video with all of these introductions, which we will share at the Virtual Lavender Celebration on May 3.
Graduating students are asked to register by April 20. And everyone is welcome to register to attend virtually and help celebrate our students.
