Free early child care available for essential workers

There are spaces immediately available for children ages 6 months to 5 years at three on- or near-campus locations

Johns Hopkins has partnered with its child care providers, Downtown Baltimore Child Care and Bright Horizons Family Solutions, to offer free child care for essential workers from university and health system during the COVID-19 emergency. Spots are available in each of three on- or near-campus locations:

  • Homewood Early Learning Center
  • Weinberg Early Childhood Center at Henderson-Hopkins
  • Johns Hopkins Child Care & Early Learning Center (Bright Horizons), 98 N. Broadway

There are more than 50 spaces still immediately available for children ages 6 months to 5 years. Health care workers have first priority, but space is available for many employees serving essential functions. To be eligible, health care workers or JHU employees must have received a letter stating that they are in an essential function.
