The 2020 Space@Hopkins Seed Grant funding program, with grants of up to $25,000 for one year, is now open for proposals for space-related projects. Topics of the proposed projects include robotics, astronaut health, planetary sciences, solar physics, Earth science, spacecraft engineering, sensors, and astrophysics. Civilian space-related proposals are welcome from all Johns Hopkins divisions.
The proposed work must be relevant to Space@Hopkins and JHU institutional research priorities, provide undergraduate research opportunities, and have excellent prospects for leading to external research support. The Space@Hopkins team is happy to help principal investigators by finding a compatible research collaborator from another department or division within the university, and by identifying interested undergraduate students.
Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 8, and are to be submitted electronically through the Space@Hopkins website. Details about the program and proposal instructions are available on this website. The Seed Grant program's period of performance is September 2020 to September 2021.
