Healthy male nonsmokers, nonvapers, 21-40 years old, are needed to give blood for research studies focusing on why there are differences between how often men versus women develop asthma and allergies. Women volunteers have stepped up, but the lab is very short on male volunteers.
Compensation $10-$30 at the time of blood draw, depending on the volume needed for the study. After a short phone conversation or emailed questionnaire to determine eligibility, a blood draw will be scheduled on the East Baltimore campus on the morning that your cells will be used in a culture experiment. To be eligible, you:
- Are between 21 and 40 years old
- Do not smoke or vape
- Do not have other chronic health conditions
The lab will extract cells from your blood and use them in culture dish–based assays. There is a constant need for blood donors so, if interested, call 410-955-1747 or email mjones96@jh.edu (with BLOOD DONOR in the subject line) for more information or to begin the process of being enrolled as a potential blood donor for the lab's studies.
