The session will be engineered by students (guided by a faculty member) and produced by David Rosenthal (Billy Joel's keyboardist and music director) on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
Following the session, students in the class will build arrangements using additional instrumentation -- both acoustic and electronic -- to further enhance the production. The singer-songwriter will be asked to collaborate and share ideas with the student engineers as they build the final product. There are likely to be three (or more) versions with different instrumentation and arrangement based on the vision of the student engineers.
To be considered for this project: • Submissions are due by February 28, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. • The artist selected for the project will be notified on March 4, 2020 • The artist must be available for the recording session scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on March 14, 2020, and lasting through the afternoon • There is no charge for the recording. • The artist will receive WAV and MP3 versions of the final products • Info about David Rosenthal -- http://www.davidrosenthal.com/
