This week, contractors will begin work on the demolition of the old Carnegie Institution building at 115 W. University Parkway. Construction fencing will be installed first, with interior work beginning next week. Demolition of the exterior of the building is anticipated to begin in February, and the project is expected to be completed by June. The parking lot in this location has been permanently closed, and the driveway connection between San Martin Drive and University Parkway will be closed to vehicles.
