Johns Hopkins to host NCAA Volleyball Regional this weekend

The Johns Hopkins volleyball team has been selected to host an NCAA Volleyball Regional for the first time in program history. The eight-team regional will get started from Goldfarb Gymnasium on Friday afternoon at 12:30 p.m., with Carnegie Mellon taking on Stevens. The Blue Jays' opening match will start at 8 p.m. against Manhattanville.

The Blue Jays (29-0, 10-0 Centennial) earned the Centennial Conference's automatic qualifier bid to the NCAA Tournament following a three-set win over Franklin & Marshall in Sunday's Tournament Championship. At 29-0 on the year, Hopkins has already matched its program record for wins in a season, matching the 2012 team that finished the season 29-4. The 29-match winning streak is also a new Centennial Conference record for the longest unbeaten streak in conference history. This marks Hopkins' fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and seventh overall.
