The Artificial Intelligence Robotic Racing Circuit, the premier, autonomous drone racing series, is coming to Baltimore Nov. 15. This is an opportunity for you and your students to watch the event and also network with Lockheed Martin, which will have a recruiting station for students interested in artificial intelligence and unmanned aircraft systems. Lockheed Martin is partnering with the Drone Racing League for the 2019 AlphaPilot Innovation Challenge, an open competition to develop AI for high-speed racing drones. The top teams have won a spot at the AIRR circuit, where they will compete against each other in a race by deploying code on an AI drone without the assistance of any GPS, data relay, or human intervention, for a chance to win a $1 million cash prize.
In addition to the recruiting station for students, there will be immersive AI experiences before the show and panels discussing the future of autonomous flight. Tickets to the event are free and can be obtained on the AIRR website.
When: Friday, Nov. 15, 5-7 p.m.; doors open at 3:30 p.m.
Where: Baltimore Convention Center, 1 W. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
