On Friday, Oct. 18, Transportation Services will oversee the installation of pedestrian safety measures and vehicle speed controls—including speed humps, speed bumps, and new signs—along Bowman Drive and at the entrance to the North Visitor Lot/Muller Deck on the university's Homewood campus. The work was scheduled during JHU's fall break to minimize impact.
Beginning at approximately 6 a.m., Bowman Drive will be closed between Levering Hall and the rear of Hodson Hall. Faculty, service, and handicapped parking will be accessible from Wyman Park Drive only for several hours—anyone entering from the West Gate will be turned around at Jenkins, Greenhouse, or Levering to exit back via the West Gate.
Around midday, the work on Bowman Drive will moves to south of Clark Hall for a few hours. Vehicular access to Bowman Drive will be limited to the West Gate entrance at this time; access from Wyman Park Drive will be only for South Garage entrance/exit and U-turns.
The work at the entrance to North Visitor Lot/Muller Deck will close one lane, so minor delays are possible.
