SABES Afterschool mentoring will run from November through May and is offered at eight Baltimore City public elementary schools. Sessions run either Monday/Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. or Tuesday/Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. (Some sites operate at slightly different times. Email sabes@jhu.edu for detailed site location and times.)
Mentors are assigned to one site and are asked to volunteer their time twice a month interacting with after-school students. Anyone with an interest in STEM or a STEM background can apply. Successful mentors are required to complete a criminal background check prior to placement. Email Erin at sabes@jhu.edu for more information.
