Researchers are recruiting individuals for a clinical study and are compensating $400 for participation.
The purpose of Charisma is to learn more about the risks for developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes based on ancestry. The study involves two half-day visits to Johns Hopkins Children's Center for various minimal-risk procedures.
The study is actively enrolling individuals who are:
- 12-21 years old
- of South Asian, African American, or Caucasian ancestry
- considered to have excess weight
