Luce Scholars Program: One-year internship in Asia

The Luce Scholarship provides for a yearlong internship in Asia arranged for each recipient on the basis of his/her specific interests, background, qualifications, and experience. The program was designed as a cultural experience for young leaders who have had no prior experience of Asia and who might not otherwise have an opportunity in the normal course of their careers to come to know Asia or their Asian counterparts and contemporaries. The program seeks to broaden their professional perspective and to sharpen their perceptions of Asia, of America, and of themselves.

Open to graduating seniors, alumni, and graduate students under age 30, the Luce Scholars Program applications must be submitted by 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4. To learn more about the Luce, check out the Hub article about recent winner Seheri Swint, SOE 2017 and her testimonial on the National Fellowships Program website.

Please contact Dr. Miller (jemiller@jhu.edu) in the National Fellowships Program immediately if you are interested in applying. For more information about the Luce, see the Fellowships page of the Homewood Student Affairs website.
