Enter 5K run to support heart programs at Johns Hopkins Children's Center

Run to help kids with failing hearts. Heartstrong Foundation, which supports Johns Hopkins Children's Center in fighting congenital heart disease, holds its second annual Feet for Beats 5K Run and 1-mile Walk on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The run and walk take place at 4 p.m. that day at Kinder Farm Park, 1001 Kinder Farm Park Rd. in Millersville, Anne Arundel County.

Register now; fees are $40 for the 5K or $20 for the walk. Thanks to generous sponsors that pay for race expenses, all entry fees go to CHD research, medical care, and family support.

Beneficiaries include programs at Johns Hopkins and at Mended Little Hearts of Greater Baltimore, an organization that supports CHD patients and their families.

Last year's Heartstrong Foundation activities, including the first Feet for Beats race, raised $8,000 for Johns Hopkins Children's Center. In addition, Heartstrong supporters have made and distributed 206 blankets at JHCC over the past three years.
