The Off-Campus Housing office is hosting a Kits of Kindness donation drive through the month of July. In partnership with Healthcare for the Homeless, the office is creating kits of life essentials that will be given to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. You are welcome to check out the list of supply items and drop off what you're able to at our office in McCoy Hall, Terrace Level, anytime before July 24. Supply items include:
- A kind note from you—this means a lot!
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
- Bar soap in a durable plastic bag
- Body lotion
- Wet wipes
- Hand sanitizer
- Comb
- Feminine products
- Energy bars/trail mix/dried fruit
- New socks
- Rain poncho
- Reusable water bottle
We encourage donating travel-size items to best fit into our kit bags. If you want to donate something not on this list, just let Off-Campus Housing know! If you have any questions, call 410-516-7961 or email offcampus@jhu.edu for more information!
The donation drive will lead up to Movie Night with a Purpose, 5 to 7 p.m. on July 24. Students and staff are welcome to help assemble these Kits of Kindness while watching the movie The Public . See trailer here and have some pizza!
