Free Italian language course for JHU graduate students

This summer the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences will offer a free intensive course in Italian language to incoming and continuing graduate students. This four-week course, which runs from July 22 to Aug. 16, is tailored to developing the reading knowledge that doctoral students require. The course is suitable for students with no prior experience with Italian language, and those seeking a brush-up. Priority is given to graduate students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences, but others may be accommodated as space permits.

Funding is provided by an endowment from the Mellon Foundation. This course gives neither grades nor formal academic credit; it will meet five days a week, three hours a day.

Questions and expressions of interest can be sent to Prof. Alessandro Zannirato, Italian language program director, at zannirato@jhu.edu.
