The Charles Village Streetscape project will be moving into its next phase. On Tuesday, May 28, contractors will begin working on curbs, sidewalks, and pavement along the north side of 33rd Street between Charles Street and St. Paul Street, and the west side of St. Paul Street between 33rd Street and 34th Street. Parking lanes will be closed off, and fencing will be installed around the construction area.
While work is ongoing, the sidewalk adjacent to Charles Commons and Barnes & Noble will remain open to pedestrians. Deliveries to Charles Commons and access to Lovegrove Street will be coordinated with building personnel. Vehicular traffic patterns will remain similar to the current configuration.
It is expected that this phase of the streetscape project will continue through mid-August. Current construction work on the west side of St. Paul Street will continue to progress for the next couple of weeks, and will shift over to the east side of St. Paul Street in mid-June.
